Licensed Professional Counselor-IT

Accepting New Patients

I was a teacher for many years until my passion for supporting individuals’ mental health and growth led me outside of the classroom. I have earned two master’s degrees in education and a third master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am on the path to become a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC) and enjoy supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, ages 10 through adulthood.

I bring a holistic lens and valuable insight into adolescent development, different learning styles, and systemic factors that impact mental health. I have a special interest in helping individuals who are or have experienced issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, emotional regulation, parenting, life transitions, work/school issues, and more. I am presently in trainings for EMDR and Polyvagal Theory.

My therapeutic approach helps clients build on their strengths, navigate challenges, and create positive change in their lives. I used a client-centered approach that is enhanced through CBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. This encourages clients to explore their personal stories, develop resilience, and move toward their own meaningful goals. I value connections between mental health and neurodivergence and collaborative with clients to create a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to grow.

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy reading, spending time in nature, gathering around campfires, visiting the beach, and consuming electronic dance music.

I will practice under the direct supervision of Brittany Berkovitz, LPC until I am fully licensed.
