Charnae is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She brings a unique and well-rounded perspective to her work, having spent many years as an educator before transitioning into the mental health field. Charnae holds two master’s degrees in education and a third master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and enjoys supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, ages 10 through adulthood.

She brings a holistic, inclusive, and integrative lens to therapy, with a focus on supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Charnae also offers valuable insight into adolescent development, learning styles, and systemic factors that impact mental health. Her approach is grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system shapes emotional experiences, helping clients build safety, regulation, and resilience.

Charnae blends both top-down and bottom-up approaches in her work. She integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, and Solution-focused brief therapy to support insight and goal-setting, while also incorporating somatic and nervous system-informed strategies for emotional regulation and healing. She is certified in Polyvagal Theory and is currently pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to further support trauma processing. Charnae works collaboratively with clients to better understand patterns, strengthen connections—both internally and in relationships—and create meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of her professional role, Charnae enjoys reading, spending time in nature, gathering around campfires, traveling, and listening to electronic dance music.

Charnae practices under the direct supervision of Brittany Berkovitz as she works toward full licensure.
