As an integrative provider that offers whole-person treatment and therapeutic modalities, I often find it  helpful to utilize herbal supplements, vitamins and minerals as part of a comprehensive treatment plan,  or in the event that someone prefers to take a non-pharmaceutical route to treatment. Carefully chosen  herbal supplements, vitamins and minerals can help restore equilibrium in the body, which is directly

correlated to our mental health and well-being in all facets of life. In that light, being that the gut is a  primary source in the body for neurotransmitter regulation and production, I am also adept at  addressing gut microbiome health and nutrition as a source of improving mental health outcomes.

In addition to my board-certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am also a  specialist in women and children’s health, with dual board-certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife. This translates into the attunement to newborn and child physical, emotional and behavioral  development and the early recognition of deviations from these typical developmental patterns. And  also, specialty training in women’s health issues and mental health challenges specific to women during  the reproductive years, in congruence with monthly hormonal cycles, pregnancy, postpartum and the  perimenopausal years.

I also have specialty training in the thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children  and adults. Diagnosis and treatment of children with ADHD during the school years substantially  benefits their learning and self-esteem. Anxiety tends to be very high in children with ADHD and treating  the root cause of this anxiety can be incredibly affirming. Later-in-life diagnosis of ADHD in adults often sheds light to patterns and difficulties that have been present throughout life. Treatment can provide answers and clarity, and often a long-awaited sense of calm and focus.

Lastly, I often provide brief psychotherapy during my sessions, which includes elements of various  therapeutic modalities. And with my training in yoga and traditional healing methods, we can introduce  or expand upon mindful breathing and movement techniques to facilitate physical and emotional  release and calmness. My goal in our sessions together is that you leave feeling supported, hopeful and  can envision a clear path towards healing. I look forward to seeing you and walking alongside you in  your healing journey.
