Selena is a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training who works with adolescents, couples, and individuals. She earned her Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Superior. Selena also holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, along with a certificate in Healthcare Management and an associate’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership.

Selena brings extensive experience as a crisis worker where she supported individuals experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation, active psychosis, and other acute mental health concerns. She collaborated closely with clients to develop personalized safety plans and connect them with appropriate resources, always prioritizing the least restrictive and most supportive outcomes. Her clinical background also includes work within an outpatient day treatment programs for children ages 6 to 14, further strengthening her ability to work with diverse populations and complex needs.

Her approach to therapy is integrative and trauma-informed, grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. Selena draws from a variety of evidence-based practices to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. She is passionate about supporting individuals in navigating life’s challenges, fostering resilience, and creating a sense of connection and purpose.

Prior to entering the mental health field, Selena held supervisory and training roles where she developed a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and personal development. This experience continues to inform her collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy.

Outside of her professional life, Selena enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. Together they enjoy hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and traveling—especially exploring national parks. Selena is also an avid reader, video gamer, rockhounder, and jewelry maker.

Selena practices under the direct supervision of Craig Linzmeier until she gains full licensure.
